Act Out may sound audacious, but that's exactly the plan. Named for the apostles and the members of the first century church, Act Out models itself after the Acts of the Apostles. The mission is simple: in Acts chapter 1, Jesus tells his disciples to wait in their hometown for the "promise of the Father", and then he says, "You will receive power when the Holy Spirt comes to you, and you will be my witnesses..." he gives them a strategy, first to your hometown of Jerusalem, second to the outer lying cities (Samaria), and finally to the outer most parts of the earth, bringing the kingdom and the gospel OUT into the open. Then in Acts chapter 2, the new body of Christ wait patiently, praying and watching as Jesus told the disciples to do. Suddenly as they prayed TOGETHER and unified under one purpose, the Holy Spirit came to them. It was after receiving the Holy Spirit that the church of Jesus went out into the streets and became witnesses, and added many, many believers each day. This continued and they began to send more Christians out into the outer parts.

ACT OUT believes that if your passion is to win people, you should be doing it in your community. Even those called to missions should also be evidencing their passion to evangelize in the home field as well as the world around us. ACT OUT believes in bringing people to Jesus by Loving people, building relationship, presenting the gospel of Jesus, and then discipling new believers into maturity in their giftings and callings- raising up fruitful members in the body of Christ. We believe in prayer and impartation to believers just as the apostles and believers did in the early church. And we believe that God has given each believer gifts, passion, and callings that cannot be revoked. It's time to fan the flame, calling the Bride of Christ OUT and into the open. ACT OUT believes that as we invite people into fellowship and come into contact with people both inside and outside of the 4 walls of the church, that signs and wonders will follow those who believe, just as it says in Mark 16- that people in contact with the church will be delivered from their demons and receive freedom in every area in their lives, that healing will occur in sick bodies, both on the inside and out. It's time to take the Kingdom of God out into the streets and bring in the hurting and the searching.
